Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Our 8-day tour begins at your hotel in Agadir. We will first head to Taroudant, a beautiful city with impressive walls and a fascinating history. Next, we continue to Taznakht, known as the capital of Amazigh carpets and handicrafts. After that, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where you will visit the film studio. Finally, we will spend the night at a hotel with dinner included.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Agdez – Merzouga
We continue our 8-day tour from Agadir toward the Draa Valley and the desert. We will cross the Atlas Mountains from Ouarzazate to Agdez, making a stop to see the Draa River and have lunch in Agdez. Then we will pass through Berber villages toward Rissani, where you will have time to explore the traditional market. Afterward, we travel to the Sahara of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will stay at a hotel or riad. Dinner is included.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Excursion
After breakfast, we begin exploring the area. This excursion includes a visit to the Merzouga oasis and the Gnawa village of Khamlia, known for its traditional music. You will also visit nomads living behind the dunes and explore the Mifis mines. Finally, you will ride a camel to the desert camp to watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in desert tents, enjoying Berber music around the fire.
Day 4: Merzouga – Erfoud – Touroug – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
After waking early to see the sunrise, you will return by camel to Merzouga for a shower and breakfast. Then we continue to Erfoud, famous for its marble fossils. We will pass through oases and the villages of Tinjdad and Jorf until reaching Touroug. Lunch will be in the Todra Gorges, where a river flows between high rock walls. Finally, we continue to the Dades Gorges along the winding Tissdrine road and visit the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Dinner and overnight in a riad or hotel.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we go to Kalaat M’Gouna to visit the Valley of the Roses. Then continue to Skoura to see the oasis and Kasbah Amridil. Next, we travel to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the Kasbah Taourirt before heading to Ait Ben Haddou, the setting for films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Finally, we cross the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Overnight in a riad.
Day 6: Guided Tour of Marrakech
With a local guide, you will discover the most important sites in Marrakech. Visit the Bahia Palace, the Jewish Quarter, and the Saadian Tombs, built in 1557. Then see the Koutoubia Mosque and Jemaa el Fna square. In the afternoon, visit the Majorelle Garden and other attractions. The tour ends in the afternoon, leaving free time. Overnight in the riad.
Day 7: Marrakech – Essaouira
After breakfast, we continue the tour toward Essaouira. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of goats climbing argan trees. Arrive in Essaouira to spend the day exploring its historic Medina, the old Portuguese Mogador. You can visit the Skala Kasbah and the fishing port. Overnight in a riad or hotel.
Day 8: Essaouira – Agadir
We travel along Atlantic coastal landscapes, making a stop to enjoy panoramic views. Finally, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. If you prefer, we can also drop you at Marrakech airport. This concludes the 8-day tour from Agadir.
