Day 1: Casablanca → Rabat
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Casablanca to begin the 10-day tour. The day starts with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque and the historic medina of the city. We will then travel to Rabat, the country’s capital, where you will visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, the Chellah Necropolis, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Afterwards, you will have time to stroll through the old medina before resting at your hotel.
Day 2: Rabat → Meknes → Volubilis → Moulay Idriss → Fez
After breakfast, we depart for Meknes, the former imperial capital. There you will explore iconic sites of the medina and 17th-century monuments such as Bab Mansour, the underground prison of Qara, and Sahrij Swani. We will continue to the Roman site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved mosaics. Afterwards, we visit Moulay Idriss, a holy city where the tomb of the founder of Morocco’s first Islamic kingdom is located. At the end of the day, we arrive in Fez for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Guided Tour of Fez
Fez is the largest cultural and spiritual center of the country, so you will enjoy a guided tour with a local expert. You will walk through the narrow streets of the medina to discover the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), Al-Karaouine University—considered the oldest university in the world—and the Chouara Tanneries, where leather is still produced using traditional methods. You will also visit the Marinid Tombs, historic Islamic schools, and other major landmarks. Free time follows before another overnight stay in Fez.
Day 4: Fez → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
After breakfast, we head south, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its alpine-style architecture. Next, we visit the cedar forest of Azrou to observe Barbary macaques. We pass through Midelt, where you will have lunch with views of the High Atlas, then continue to the Ziz Valley, famous for its vast palm groves. We later pass through Errachidia and Erfoud, known for dates and fossils, before arriving in Merzouga. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 5: Merzouga Desert Excursions
After breakfast, enjoy a day dedicated to discovering the desert and its culture. We will visit the village of Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music and meet a nomadic community near the desert, where you will share a Berber pizza. In the afternoon, you will ride camels to a camp among the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will have dinner and spend the night in traditional tents under a starry sky.
Day 6: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley → Ouarzazate
You will wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower, we depart for Rissani and then Tineghir, passing through the villages of Touroug and Erfoud. We arrive at the impressive Todra Gorges, known as the most spectacular canyon in Morocco and a favorite spot for climbers and hikers. We continue to Kalaa M’Gouna to visit the Valley of the Roses, famous for its natural cosmetic products. Finally, we reach Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
After breakfast, we visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt, one of the most important sites for Morocco’s film industry. We then travel to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After the visit, we cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying spectacular views of the High Atlas Mountains. Before arriving in Marrakech, we stop at an argan oil cooperative. Overnight stay in a riad.
Day 8: Guided Tour of Marrakech
After breakfast, you will explore the city with a local guide. You will discover the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle and Menara Gardens, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia and El Badi Palaces. You will also walk through the souks, tanneries, and the historic medina. Free time follows. Overnight stay in the same riad.
Day 9: Marrakech → Essaouira
Today you travel to the charming coastal city of Essaouira, known for its artistic atmosphere, fortified medina, and windy beach ideal for water sports. You can stroll through its peaceful streets, visit galleries, taste fresh seafood, and enjoy the seaside promenade. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 10: Essaouira → Casablanca (or Airport)
On the final day, we head to Casablanca. If time permits, we will make some visits in the city; otherwise, we will transfer you directly to Casablanca or Marrakech airport, thus concluding your 10-day tour of Morocco.
