Tour Plan:

Day 1: Arrival in Agadir

Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your riad/hotel in Morocco. Depending on your arrival time in Agadir, you may have the opportunity to visit some local attractions. Overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 2: Agadir – Marrakech

After breakfast, embark on a 10-day journey from Agadir to the imperial city of Marrakech. Along the way, you will make stops for photos and to enjoy the scenery. In Marrakech, meet your local guide for a two-hour walking tour of the medina, exploring historic monuments including the famous Bahia Palace. Then, stroll around the Koutoubia Mosque grounds and visit the Menara Gardens and nearby attractions. In the evening, visit Jemaa el-Fnaa square and experience its lively events. Overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 3: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

Travel from Marrakech to Rabat with a stop in Casablanca to visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest mosque in Africa and the seventh largest in the world. Continue to Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital on the Atlantic coast. Visit the royal palaces of King Mohammed V and King Hassan II, the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Hassan Tower, and the Chellah necropolis. Overnight in a riad or hotel.

Day 4: Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, continue to Chefchaouen, passing through rural villages. Chefchaouen, known as the Blue City, is famous for its blue-painted streets, rooted in Jewish traditions, giving the city a serene and charming atmosphere. Explore the medina, including Ras El-Ma, the Kasbah Museum, and Uta El-Hammam Square. Overnight in a riad.

Day 5: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Fez

Begin the journey to Volubilis through the Rif Mountains. Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then continue to Zerhoun and the imperial city of Meknes, known for its large ancient fortifications, including Bab Mansour, Sahrij Swani, and Qara Prison. Continue to Fez and overnight in a riad.

Day 6: Guided Tour of Fez

Explore Fez, Morocco’s oldest and most sacred city, with a guided tour of its historic medina. Wander the narrow streets filled with merchants and artisan shops, and visit Al-Attarine Madrasa, Bou Inania School, Al-Najjarine Fountain, and Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque. Enjoy panoramic views of Fez. Overnight in a riad.

Day 7: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Merzouga

After breakfast, drive to Ifrane, known as Morocco’s Switzerland, and stop in Azrou to visit the Middle Atlas cedar forest and see monkeys in their natural habitat. Continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views. Visit Erfoud and its fossil products before reaching Merzouga. Overnight in a riad or hotel, followed by a camel excursion to the Erg Chebbi dunes and overnight in desert tents.

Day 8: Merzouga Desert Excursions

Explore the desert dunes of Erg Chebbi after breakfast. Visit an oasis, the village of Khamlia known for its Gnaoua music, and Berber villages. Return to Merzouga for another camel ride and enjoy the sunrise. Overnight in desert tents with a traditional dinner and Berber music around a campfire.

Day 9: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

Watch the sunrise over the dunes, then shower and have breakfast at the camp. Travel to the Tafilalet palm groves with a stop in Rissani to visit the historic market. Continue to Touroug and the Todra Gorges, have lunch, and stroll through this peaceful area. Travel through the Dades Valley and Skoura palm groves to reach Ouarzazate. Overnight in a riad.

Day 10: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Taroudant – Agadir

Visit Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco” and “Hollywood of Africa,” including the Atlas Film Studios. Explore Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stop in Taznakht, famous for carpet weaving, and Taliouine, the saffron capital, to visit a saffron cooperative. Conclude the tour in Taroudant and return to Agadir for the final overnight stay.
