Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After breakfast, we begin our 5-day journey through Morocco. We depart from Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass toward Ouarzazate. Our first stop will be at the Telouet Kasbah, followed by the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. We then continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you will have the option to visit the Atlas Film Studios, an important film production center. We will also see the Taourirt Kasbah before heading to Skoura to admire the Amridil Kasbah. Finally, we arrive in the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night in a riad or hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga
After breakfast, we head toward the Todra Gorge to enjoy its spectacular scenery. We will stop to explore the area, admire the impressive cliffs and river, and watch climbers scaling the narrow canyon walls. We then continue toward Merzouga, stopping in the village of Touroug. Along the way, we will pause at an oasis to learn about traditional irrigation methods. We also visit Erfoud, famous for its fossils and date palms. In the evening, we arrive in Merzouga and check into a riad or hotel, where dinner is included.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert Excursion
This day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga Desert. After breakfast, we begin a 4×4 desert tour. First, we travel to Khamlia, an African village mainly inhabited by people from Mali. We then continue to visit nomadic families living in traditional tents, where you can enjoy their music. Lunch will be served there or in Khamlia village. Afterward, we return to the hotel. In the afternoon, the camel trekking adventure begins across the golden dunes. We stop to enjoy an unforgettable sunset before reaching the desert camp. The evening concludes with dinner, music, and an overnight stay in the desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou
The morning starts with a sunrise view, followed by a shower and breakfast at the camp. You will then return by camel to the hotel. From there, we continue to Rissani to visit its beautiful traditional market. We take a different route through the Draa Valley, stopping along the way for photos. Ouarzazate remains on the itinerary, where we will see its oases before driving back to the village of Ait Ben Haddou. You will have time to revisit the kasbah, a filming location for movies and series such as Game of Thrones. Overnight in this historic village.
Day 5: Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
On the final day, we return to Marrakech. After breakfast, we stop to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the High Atlas Mountains. We will also visit an argan oil cooperative to learn about the production process. Finally, we drive through the mountainous landscapes back to Marrakech, where our 5-day tour service comes to an end.
