Day 1: Arrival in Tangier
You will be welcomed to start the 12-day tour from Tangier. We will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your accommodation in Tangier. Afterwards, you can enjoy the beautiful landscapes and surroundings during the drive. You will have free time to explore Tangier after resting. It is one of the most beautiful cities along the Mediterranean Sea. Overnight stay in Tangier.
Day 2: Tangier – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we begin the second day of the tour. We will pass through the Rif Mountains to Tetouan and then head to Chefchaouen, the Blue City. Its white and blue buildings are very famous, with narrow Andalusian-style streets. You can visit tourist sites such as the Kasbah Museum and the Spanish Mosque. Overnight stay in a riad.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen for Fez. We will pass through Volubilis, the Roman ruins of Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, we will stop in the imperial city of Meknes to visit its monuments, medina, walls, Bab Mansour Gate, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. We will also visit the Qara Prison and other points of interest before reaching the historic medina of Fez, where you will stay in a riad.
Day 4: Fez City Tour
The tour includes a guided visit of the historic medina of Fez. You will discover the majestic walls, markets, and tanneries. Visits will also include the Al-Attarine and Bou Inania Madrasas, as well as the Nejjarine Museum. Afterwards, you will see the Mausoleum of Moulay Idris and Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, finishing with panoramic views of Fez. Overnight stay at the riad.
Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
After breakfast, we continue toward the Merzouga Desert, passing through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its alpine-style architecture and natural beauty. Next, we visit the cedar forest of Azrou, home to wild monkeys, and continue through the Middle Atlas. We stop in Midelt for lunch before reaching Merzouga via the Ziz Valley and passing through Erfoud. Overnight stay in a hotel or nearby riad.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert Tours
After breakfast, we will visit the village of Khamlia, known for Gnawa music. You will learn about the nomads who live in traditional tents. Afterwards, we will visit the Mifis mines and the desert lake. Finally, we will take a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp, where you will enjoy the sunset, a traditional dinner, and music around the campfire.
Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes and return by camel to Merzouga. After breakfast, we will visit the market of Rissani and continue to the Todra Gorges. Lunch will be there while admiring the red cliffs and river. Afterwards, we continue to the Dades Valley, where we will stay overnight.
Day 8: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech, passing through Ouarzazate, the Valley of the Roses, and Atlas Studios. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where movies like The Mummy and Gladiator were filmed. We continue to Marrakech, crossing the Tizi-N-Tichka mountain pass and stopping at an argan oil cooperative before arriving at the riad.
Day 9: Marrakech City Tour
A full day exploring the ancient medina of Marrakech with a local guide. Visits include the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia Minaret. You will also explore the souks, El Badi Palace, Jemaa El-Fna Square, and the Majorelle Gardens. Overnight stay at the riad.
Day 10: Full-Day Trip to Ouzoud Waterfalls
After breakfast, depart from Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. The waterfall is over 300 meters high and is surrounded by Berber monkeys and birds. It’s an ideal place for a picnic and enjoying nature. Return to Marrakech at the end of the day.
Day 11: Full-Day Trip to Essaouira
Departure to the coastal city of Essaouira (Mogador) on the Atlantic coast. Visit the Scala, with views of boats and seagulls, and the medina of Essaouira with its peaceful streets and historic walls. Return to Marrakech and overnight at the riad.
Day 12: Airport Transfer
On the last day, you will be transferred to Menara Airport, marking the end of the 12-day tour from Tangier.
